Duties: |
Handle the full range of responsibilities related to Cementation Safety needs for mining operations
Ensures that all project personnel are trained in their job responsibilities, understand and comply with company policies and procedures and work in accordance with MSHA.
Participates in safety meetings, coordinate the use of safety huddles, accident imaging, PASS meetings, accident investigations, workplace inspections etc. as outlined in the Cementation Safety Management System
Works closely with client representatives to ensure safety activities and training conducted by Cementation operations personnel are compatible with client policies, procedures and activities
Addresses client concerns in a timely manner working diligently to solve their problems/issues
Coordinates the employee sign on and site orientation of all Cementation and sub contractor employees ensuring that new employees meet all MSHA, Cementation Safety Management System and site hiring criteria before commencing work
Regularly monitors the workforce to ensure that employees are trained and certified to do the work they are performing and ensure that training and certification is provided in areas where workers require training or retraining
Maintain a record of employee training and certification ensuring that programs such as First Aid Training, CPR Training and any other trainings are renewed as required and forwards all required training records to Corporate
Develops a training needs analysis for all workers on the project and maintains a site training matrix and ensures that the training matrix is posted

Qualifications: |
Experience: 5-10 Years underground Mining experience (3+ years of Safety experience) preferred
The Site Trainer ensures that Cementation Employees and employees of sub contractors meet the training requirements as outlined in the Cementation Safety Management System and the Mining Safety and Health Act |
